Welcome to the University of Utah!
We are very excited that you will be joining us! You will have an opportunity to meet with the ISSS team and learn about maintaining your immigration status, navigating the university, and getting to know other students! The orientation process is created to help you transition into a new living and learning situation.
Summer 2024 Orientation will be on May 10th from 11am-2pm in the Saltair Room of the Union Building. Orientation is MANDATORY for all incoming F-1 students or F-1 students starting a new program.
Fall 2024 Orientation sessions are now open. They will run from August 13-15th from 10am-4pm and you only need to choose one of the three days. Do not sign up for more than one day.

This does not apply to J-1 or Utah Global students.
Failure to attend will affect your SEVIS record.
Orientation Requirements
All new international students (F-1 and J-1 Students), including transfers from other U.S. institutions and students who completed the Utah Global Program are required to complete international student orientation. For Summer 2024 students, you must sign up for the orientation session that will be held on May 10th as we will only hold one session. There will not be another session until the Fall. New Students in the Utah Global Program please check with Student Services at Utah Global for information on orientation.
